PBeM NEWS:

Completed Tournaments:

HELLER WINS AFRIKA KORPS PBEM: Randy Heller wins the 2025 Afrika Korps email
tournament emerging on top of the field of 16. Two veteran Arika Korps
players faced off in the championship game, Randy Heller and GM Ed Menzel.
Ed took the Axis with no bid. The Allies were able to delay the Axis until
they could deploy their June armor reinforcements around the immediate
perimeter of Tobruk. After a series of attacks to drive the Allies into
Tobruk, the Axis had suffered several soak off losses. Their first attack on
a 4-4-7 armor resulted in an exchange severely reducing the Axis forces.
Rommel launched a desperate 1-1 attack but were eliminated giving the
victory to the Allies. The remaining laurelists, in order, were Mark Booth,
Kevin Brown, Vince Meconi, and Jeff Linroth. View the complete event report
at <https://www.boardgamers.org/pbem/pbem-afk.html>
https://www.boardgamers.org/pbem/pbem-afk.html.

MCSENN DOMINATES THREE ROUNDS TO CAPTURE STONE AGE TITLE: Fifty-four players
participated in the return of the Stone Age PBEM tournament after a three
year hiatus. Jon McSenn won a total of eight games and finished atop the
standings in all three rounds to win the tournament. The remaining top six
laurelists, in order, Eric Freeman, Carl Chauvin, Chad Martin, Ray Wolff,
and Cary Morris. The event report can be found at

the Finals with 3 wins and 31 points. View the event report at

MENZEL CPATURES VICTORY IN THE PACIFIC CHAMPIONSHIP: With total domination
of the half of the globe that is the Pacific at stake, Ed Menzel, playing
the options that bear his name, forces John Sharp's Allied fleets to
surrender after bruising combat between the three largest navies in the
world. Ed capitalizes on the entrance criteria change to become the second
player (after Joe Dragan) to repeat as BPA Single-Elimination champion. Ed
was champion after the 2001-2003 tournament! Ed has proven that both sides
can and do win often with a zero bid using his modifications.
Congratulations are due all-around but especially to the top laurelists with
Ed and John, in order, by Dennis Nicholson, Gregory Smith, Philip Watkins,
and Jim Bodenheimer. The event report can be found at
