WBC 2022 SCHEDLE UPDATED:  Version 1.1 of the spreadsheet version of the WBC
2022 event schedule has been posted.  It can be found on the 2022 schedule
page at http://www.boardgamers.org/wbc22/schedule.html. An excel version of
the schedule can also be downloaded from the
http://www.boardgamers.org/wbc22/schedule-spreadsheet.html. page . Work on
the other versions is in process.

 

JUNIORS PROGRAM LOOKING FOR GM'S AND 1 COORDINATOR: We are still looking for
one more Juniors room coordinators to assist Megan and Lesley.  If we do not
get a third coordinator, the Juniors Room hours will need to be scaled back.
With 3 years between WBC's, we have lost some of our valuable Coordinators
for the Juniors room. If you are interested in volunteering to help Megan
out with the Juniors room, please email the Convention Director at

The current slate of games for the juniors tournaments can be found on the
Orphan /Event page at

currently 3 open GM slots and another 4 slots without a game identified for
them.

 

FIRST PREVIEWS NOW ON WEBSITE:  The first set of Previews is now available
on the preview page located at
http://www.boardgamers.org/wbc22/previews_2022.html .  Check back on this
site frequently in the next week as more will be added daily.

 

29th TEAM TOURNAMENT NOW ACCEPTING ENTRIES:  The team tournament is now
officially open for submission for the 2022 tournament.  Remember: All team
members must be pre-registered.  Full details about the team tournament can
be found at http://www.boardgamers.org/wbc_teams.html .  The deadline for
submissions or team tournament changes is July 10.  Shortly after July 10,
an announcement will open the WBC Bracket Busting Contest with a chance to
win a free membership for 2023.

 

FINAL PREREGISTRATION FOR WBC 2022 POSTED:  Pre-registration for WBC 2022 is
closed.  The final list can be found at
http://boardgamers.org/wbc_preparation_prereg.html.

 

Onsite Registration Fees are $30/day or $130 for a Sustaining Membership
entitling attendance for all 9 days.

 

BOARD OF DIRECTORS VOTING ENDS IN 3 DAYS: Voting for the Board of Directors
to serve from 2023-2025 ends on June 30  We have had a good participate rate
so far but still encourage all members to vote.

 

Four Members appear on the ballot for election to a three-year term on the
BPA Board of Directors.  The slate features two incumbents and two
challengers.  The list of candidates and their statement can be found at
http://www.boardgamers.org/about_election2017.html .  The voting for the
Board of Directors candidates is now opened.  Members are encouraged to vote
on who you believe would be the best candidates on your BPA Board of
Directors. Voting will end on June 30, 2022, and winners will be announced
at the BPA Annual Meeting on Tuesday July 26, 2022, at 3pm in the Grand
Ballroom at Seven Springs.  Voting is easy with an online ballot which can
be found at http://www.boardgamers.org/forms/BoardBallot.shtml

 

AUCTION AND AUCTION STORE SUBMISSIONS ARE CLOSED: BPA is no longer accepting
submissions for the Auction/Auction Store for this year.

 

SEVEN SPRINGS RESERVATIONS ISSUES RESOLVED: Seven Springs reservation System
issues have been resolved.  There are still rooms available for WBC 2022 at
Seven Springs.

 

The rate for WBC 2022 will remain at $139 per night plus applicable taxes.
King Jr. Suites will remain at $149 per night plus applicable taxes, and
Cottages and Chalets at regular published Seven Springs Rates.  Please use
reservation Code 8BM60D when booking your reservations or mention WBC 2022.

AFRIKA KORPS TOURNAMENT TO START IN AUGUST:  The next Afrika Korps email
tournament will be starting approximately August 15th.  The format is the
same as the previous tournaments - 3-month rounds; bid for supplies if both
players prefer the same side; all games AREA rated; single elimination. See
