WBC 2022 SCHEDLE POSTED:  The spreadsheet version of the WBC 2022 event
schedule has been posted.  It can be found on the 2022 schedule page at
http://www.boardgamers.org/wbc22/schedule.html. An excel version of the
schedule can also be downloaded from the
http://www.boardgamers.org/wbc22/schedule-spreadsheet.html. page . Work on
the other versions will now commence. With the schedule completed, Preview
pages will now be created.

 

AIRPORT SHUTTLE SERVICE POSTED:  Vail, the new owners of Seven Springs, do
not provide airport shuttle service to any of their resorts. Seven Springs,
however, has arranged and will manage a third party provided airport shuttle
service. Details can be found on both the

JUNIORS PROGRAM LOOKING FOR GM'S AND COORDINATORS: The current slate of
games for the juniors tournaments can be found on the Orphan /Event page at
http://www.boardgamers.org/wbc_preparation_pelorphans.html.  There are
currently 3 open GM slots and another 5 slots without a game identified for
them.

 

With 3 years between WBC's, we have lost some of our valuable Coordinators
for the Juniors room. If you are interested in volunteering to help Megan
out with the Juniors room, please email the Convention Director at

PREREGISTRATION FOR WBC 2022 CLOSES JUNE 15:  Pre-registration for WBC 2022
will close on June 15. In order to pre-register by then, both the membership
application, found at http://www.boardgamers.org/forms/MemberForm.shtml ,
and payment must be submitted by that date.  For payment to be submitted,
checks must be postmarked by June 15 or paypal payments must be received by
June 15.

 

There have been a large number of memberships submitted in the last several
weeks that are still being processed. Confirmations for these will be sent
as soon as possible.

 

Onsite Registration Fees are $30/day or $130 for a Sustaining Membership
entitling attendance for all 9 days.

 

BOARD OF DIRECTORS VOTING ENDS JUNE 30: Voting for the Board of Directors to
serve from 2023-2025 ends on June 30  We have had a good participate rate so
far but still encourage all members to vote.

 

Four Members appear on the ballot for election to a three-year term on the
BPA Board of Directors.  The slate features two incumbents and two
challengers.  The list of candidates and their statement can be found at
http://www.boardgamers.org/about_election2017.html .  The voting for the
Board of Directors candidates is now opened.  Members are encouraged to vote
on who you believe would be the best candidates on your BPA Board of
Directors. Voting will end on June 30, 2022, and winners will be announced
at the BPA Annual Meeting on Tuesday July 26, 2022, at 3pm in the Grand
Ballroom at Seven Springs.  Voting is easy with an online ballot which can
be found at http://www.boardgamers.org/forms/BoardBallot.shtml

 

AUCTION AND AUCTION STORE SUBMISSIONS ARE CLOSED: BPA is no longer accepting
submissions for the Auction /auction store for this year.

 

SEVEN SPRINGS RESERVATIONS ISSUES: Seven Springs has been working through a
major system crash that has affected our members abilities to complete their
hotel reservations for WBC 2022.  They are hopeful that the system will be
up soon.  If you leave them your name and the dates you want, they will call
you back to book your reservation once the system is available.  As of the
last list of rooms booked before the crash, there are still rooms available
for WBC 2022.

 

The rate for WBC 2022 will remain at $139 per night plus applicable taxes.
King Jr. Suites will remain at $149 per night plus applicable taxes, and
Cottages and Chalets at regular published Seven Springs Rates.  Please use
reservation Code 8BM60D when booking your reservations or mention WBC 2022.
