3 DAYS LEFT IN BPA/WBC NEW LOGO CONTEST : The BPA has selected a
vendor for the redesign of the website and work has begun. With the
evolution of the BPA and WBC to a more balanced set of game genres, the
Board has decided to look at a potential change from our traditional logo
used on the website. Since we know we have members in the graphic designs
field, we have decided to hold a design contest for a potential new logo.
The process will be as follows:

1. Submissions of potential new logos must be submitted to the
Convention Director between November 1 through November 15, 2024
2. Parameters for logo are:

a. Must include the words "World Boardgaming Championships"
b. Should incorporate the following:

                                                              i. BPA
Logo (as shown on current Website Logo)

                                                             ii. A
Roman Iconology part (keeping with Laurel & Awards theme)

                                                           iii. Diverse
Genre of Gaming (i.e., War, Euro, Strategy, Late Night, Sports, Racing, Open
Gaming)

c. File should be sent as a Vector file (allows flexibility of scaling
for multiple media)

2. Board will review potential logos received by members and our
Graphics Assistant Convention Director) at their November Board Meeting

a. The Directors will select multiple Logos they believe would be best
for the BPA

3. In the following newsletter announcing the start of the BPA 2025
Membership Drive, a page will be created of the potential logos still under
consideration by the Board.
4. Members will vote on the designs from December 1 through December 15
for the logo they prefer.
5. At the December Board meeting, the Board will make a final decision
on a new logo with the winning logo of the member voting having the weight
of one additional Director of the Board.
6. The designer of the logo that is chosen will receive a free
membership for both 2025 and 2026.
