TRIAL EVENT VOTING HAS CONCLUDED:  

The trial event voting has concluded with Wingspan leading the way in the
voting.  26% of the current members participated in the voting to select 30
Trial Events to be held at WBC 2022.  The results of the voting can be found
at http://www.boardgamers.org/wbc22/trialvote.html.  A listing of the new 30
events can be found on the orphans' page at

EVENT SUBMISSIONS FOR CENTURY/LEGACY DUE BY JANUARY 15:

The deadline for submissions of event forms for the century and legacy
events is January 15. GM's have submitted 33 Century Events and 0 Legacy
events so far.  There are currently 79 Century/Legacy events in orphan
status.  You can find a complete list of the events with and without GMs for
WBC 2022 at http://www.boardgamers.org/wbc_preparation_pelorphans.html.  

 

SEVEN SPRINGS HOTEL RESERVATIONS OPEN SOON:  Seven Springs hotel
reservations for stays of 5 nights or more will open on Tuesday, January 18.

BORTON WINS THE 1ST BPA EL GRANDE PBEM:  DJ Borton took control of the final
game in turn two and never looked back in winning the 2021 El Grande PBeM
tournament.  The other laurelists, in order, were Curt Collins, AJ Jiang,
Dominic Blais, Paul Klayder, and Rebecca Roppolo.  For a more detailed

LANDEL TRIUMPHS IN ADEL VERPFLICHTET PBEM:  Derek Landel takes set-building
and a mid-game sprint all the way to the finish line -- and holds on against
the bigger sets of Allan Jiang and Chris Trimmer to win it all.  The rest of

BEARD WINS SECOND CONSECUTIVE WATERLOO PBEM:  Joe Beard wins his second
straight Waterloo tournament, outlasting the other 17 players.  The rest of

EGIZIA 2022 PBEM TOURNAMENT TO START IN JANUARY: Egizia has been a
tournament at WBC since 2011, now is your chance to join an online
tournament of this ancient Egyptian worker placement game.   The tournament
will be played on the Yucata online game portal and all entrants will play 4
simultaneous games for a chance to advance to further rounds.  Visit

MARCH MADNESS TOURNAMENT TO START IN JANUARY:  Bruce Monnin will be starting
the 19th Annual March Madness PBeM tournament with the draft on January 5th.

guaranteed at least two games in the event.  The format is single
elimination until a champion is crowned, usually in late spring. More

PATHS OF GLORY TO START PBEM IN MARCH:    As the current POG tournament is
ending its long journey, GM Tom Gregorio is planning on the next tournament.
It will once again be double-elimination and using the historical scenario.

UNDERWATER CITIES ONE GAME AWAY FROM SEMIFINALS:  Underwater Cities will
begin their semifinals soon with one game left in the preliminary rounds.

 

BPA PBeM Remember: ... all of the above PBeM fun is free to current BPA
members. 

Others may qualify with a $10 Email membership in the year the event starts.


 

BPA members who would like to see an email tournament for their favorite
game are encouraged to step forward as the GM of such an event. BPA does not
run tournaments. Rather, we are an organization of gamers lending support to
one another so such events can happen. No one cares as much about your hobby
