WBC 2022 CENTURY & LEGACY GM SUBMISSIONS DUE BY JANUARY 15: Submissions of
Event Forms for WBC 2022 are now open. Century and Legacy events are due by
January 15, 2022. Sponsor, Vendor, and Exhibitor submissions will have a
deadline of February 28, 2022.

driven by the recently approved heat event formats and tiebreakers,
eliminating redundant GM information, making selections consistent with our
Seven Springs location, and eliminating issues with the previous form. The
form is available on the Event Form page at

Ongoing Tournaments:

PATHS OF GLORY SEMIFINALS IN PROGRESS: Round 8 closed out with four
players advancing into Round 9: Jukka Hintikka, Richard Beyma, Johannes
Nordstrom, and Tom Drueding. (It's great to see fresh names in this
next-to-last round; Tom D. being the only one who was also in the
semi-finals in the BPA VII event.) Jukka has swept the field so far, going
8-0 heading into the ninth round, all three other players having a loss on
their record. As a further sign of our Finnish friend's POG prowess, the
two losses on Richard and Johannes' records came from Jukka.

Round 9 kicked off on November 9th with two matches. It is with no small
sense of surprise that I can report that we already have a completion -
Jukka's AP defeated Tom Drueding in eight turns.

MR. MADISON'S WAR CONTIUES IN ROUND 6: Round 6 has started with #1 Seed
(Weir) playing #4 Seed (Trimmer) and #2 Seed (Fedin) playing #3 Seed
(Collins).

For the playoffs, we will be using an auction bid to determine who plays
each side. The lower ranked person (Collins, Trimmer) will bid first in
ACTS. The bid will be how many victory points that the bidding player will
give his opponent in order to play a specified side. So, the bid must be for
a stated side to play and a number (may be zero) of Victory Points to give
the opponent when starting. The opponent will then either accept the bid
(and take the opposite side and the awarded victory points, if above zero)
or will bid a higher number of victory points and specify the side to play.
This continues until one player stops bidding a higher number of VPs to give
away at the start.
