August 2021 Newsletter BOARD OF DIRECTORS VOTING RESULTS: We would like to thank all 4 candidates for their interest in BPA Board of Directors. Incumbents Rebecca Roppolo and Andy Lewis are joined by Peter Stein as your newly elected Board of Directors for the 2022 to 2024 term. For more information on the election results, please visit http://www.boardgamers.org/about_electionresults.html . As Don Greenwood's tenure on the Board comes to an end, we all owe Don our thanks for starting up the BPA, keeping the WBC going for 20+ years, and providing leadership throughout his twenty-three years on the Board. WBC 2022 EVENTS: The Board has determined that all Century and Legacy events scheduled for WBC 2020 and 2021 will be carried over to WBC 2022. This includes the 100th Century event of Splendor. Since most event submissions occurred in late 2019 or early 2020, GM's will be asked to resubmit a new version of the event submission form in the September/October 2021 timeframe. A new form will be created to take into account any changes to the tiebreaker rules that is currently being discussed by the board as well as updating the form for the Seven Springs layout. An announcement will be made in a future newsletter when the tiebreaker decision is made and when the form will be available. With the cancellation of WBC 2020 and 2021, the Board has decided to hold a trial ballot for 30 events. Due to the absence of a ballot since December 2019, the decision has been made to increase the trial event number from 25 to 30 for WBC 2022 only since there have been many new games published since the last trial ballot. Event forms for the trial ballot will be accepted from the date the new event submission form is available through October 15, 2021. Voting will be open from November 1, 2021, to November 30, 2021. The results of the Trial Ballot will be announced in December 2021. 2021 PREREGISTRATION LIST UPDATED: The Preregistration Page for BPA 2021 Memberships has been updated.
