WBC 2026 DATES: The Dates for WBC 2026 are July 25, 2026, to August 2, 2026.
The dates have been updated on the WBC page at
http://boardgamers.org/wbcindex.html ,  the WBC Facebook page and
Consimworld WBC General Discussion page.

 

WBC 2025 WINNERS:  All of the Winners pages have been updated with the WBC
2025 results and can be found at
https://www.boardgamers.org/winners/index.html.

 

WBC 2025 EVENT REPORTS UPDATE:  85% (135 of 158) of the event reports for
WBC 2025 have been received. The First 25 Event Report pages have been
posted and can be found at
https://www.boardgamers.org/yearbook25/index.html. The completed reports
include updated Event Report Page, Event History & Laurel page  and winners
page.

 

Event Reports are being posted in the order they were received.

 

If you are one of the GM's whose report has not been sent in yet, please
send it in as soon as possible. The goal is to have all of the Event Reports
posted by October 31. 

 

WBC HONORS:  Member nominations for GM of the Year and Sportsman of the Year
are being accepted through October 31, 2025. To submit someone to be
considered for the awards, please email the members name and the reason for
the submission to the Convention Director at
conventiondirector [at] boardgamers.org
<mailto:conventiondirector [at] boardgamers.org> . The top Nominees for the
Sportsman Award will be on the ballot included in the 2026 initial
Membership drive starting in early December. Nominees for the GM of the Year
Award will be presented to the Board.

THOMPSON ADDS PBEM TITLE TO BREAKOUT: NORMANDY WOOD: Nels Thompson defeated
Kevin Hammond on turn 10 to capture his first PBeM title in Breakout
Normandy to go along with his 4 WBC titles. Remaining laurelists, in order,
were Mark Gutfreund, Scott Fenn, Peter Brunken, and Dan Leader. Read about

BORTON FINISHES AT TOP OF CASTLES OF BURGUNDY TOURNAMENT: DJ Borton topped
the field of 59 players to earn his first Castles of Burgundy title. Other
laurelists, in order, were Carl Chauvin, Mike Munson, Greg Chandler, Eric
Freeman, and Ray Wolff. Read more about the tournament at

SWINSON WINS THIRD EGIZIA PBEM TITLE: Michael Swinson won his third PBeM
Championship in Egizia outlasting a field of 31 players. Other laurelists,
in order, were Eric Freeman, Andrew Emerick, Jon McSenn, James Thompson, and

ROB MURRAY DOMINATES FINALS OF THURN & TAXIS PBEM: Sixty-one players
participated in the 2025 Thurn and Taxis PBEM tournament. Rob Murray won
three games in the final round to win the tournament. The remaining
laurelists, in order, were Andrew Emerick, AJ Jiang, Haim Hochboim, Randy

KRIER WINS WINGSPAN PBEM: Seventy-four players competed in the 2025 Wingspan
PBEM tournament. Bob Krier won 8 out of 12 games, including three games in
the final round to win the event. The remaining laurelists, in order, were
Ray Wolff, Nick Henning, Cliff Ackman, Lumin Sperling, Chad Martin. More

ADVANCED CIVILIZATION TO BE BEGIN IN OCTOBER: Nathan Barhorst will be the GM
for the next Advanced Civilization Tournament. Visit

NEXT AFRIKA KORPS TOURNAMENT TO BEGIN AT THE END OF OCTOBER: This is a
single elimination tournament. It will start on October 31st. Rounds are a

2026 AGRICOLA TOURNAMENT TO BEGIN IN NOVEMBER: Ryan Feathers will be running
the next BPA Agricola PBeM tournament. Sign up will be via email to

BREAKOUT NORMANDY PBEM TO START IN OCTOBER: Kevin Wojtaszczyk is accepting
registration for the next Breakout Normandy PBeM. With the 2024 BKN online
tournament finishing this week, the start of the 2025 BKN online tournament
is quickly approaching. The start of the 2025 tournament will be mid-October
and you can sign up by emailing bknpbem [at] gmail.com. Details for the

FIRST CARCASSONNE PBEM TO BEGIN IN OCTOBER: Lisa Gutermuth will be the GM
for the first BPA PBeM tournament for Carcassonne. The event will be

BPA PBeM Remember: ... all of the above PBeM fun is free to current BPA
members. 

Others may qualify with a $10 Email membership in the year the event starts.


 

BPA members who would like to see an email tournament for their favorite
game are encouraged to step forward as the GM of such an event. BPA does not
run tournaments. Rather, we are an organization of gamers lending support to
one another so such events can happen. No one cares as much about your hobby
as you do. Get involved. See the requirements to host a BPA email tournament
